An electronic system that allows the sale and purchase of goods, services and information over the Internet, as well as it enables electronic transactions that support revenue generation, such as demand enhancement for those goods, services and information, as e-commerce enables online sales and customer support.
E-commerce can be likened to an online marketplace where vendors (suppliers, companies, shops), intermediaries and buyers communicate, where products and services are delivered in virtual or digital forms, and are paid for by electronic money or by delivery.
E-commerce activities in their current form can be divided into two main sections:
The first section, which is the trade exchange between the company and the customer, which deals with the sale and purchase processes that occurs between the customer and the company itself.
The second section, which means the process of trade exchange between companies.
